John Dillard (Brooklyn, NY) and Manuela Vilanova (Antwerp, BE) collaborated on a single, twelve-hour exhibition on March 12th, in conjunction with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. A new territory erects where life is given to the artificial and the only certainty is for change. Transgressive in nature, the works on display explored ephemerality, narratives of identity politics, means to freedom and also inclusivity. A celebration of desire and imagination activated by the bodies in attendance.
