John Dillard (Brooklyn, NY) and Manuela Vilanova (Antwerp, BE) collaborate on a single day, twelve-hour exhibition on March 12th, in conjunction with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp. A new territory is erected where life is given to the artificial and the only certainty is for change. Transgressive in nature, the works on display explore ephemerality, narratives of identity politics, means to freedom and inclusivity. A celebration of desire and imagination activated by the bodies in attendance.

INFO DISPLAY is a contemporary pixel typeface that was designed to pair with INFO TEXT. It has a grid of two pixel modules, one more thin than the other. It can be used in a display mode for tittles, only in uppercase but also with an italic variation. In the other hand, INFO TEXT is a regular typeface, with a set of upper and lower case characters. It combines the sharpness of the digital design process with the elegance of a serif typeface, taken to the extremes through the monospaced limitations. The last font adjustments were made by Fer Cozzi. "Font in use" pieces were designed by Gonzalo Marin.

Place: Berlin, Germany
Date. Feb 6 2020
Benjamin Pfau’s Isthmus is not necessarily a study of Bangkok itself, but it was made there. The images oscillate between the mantras of documentary practice and artistic preening, but are fragmented and one senses the unerring and perhaps more presciently, unnerving condition in which the photographs manifest Pfau’s clear dislocation to self, but also his environment. Photobook first edition of 1000. Softcover. 112 pages. 18 x 26 cm. Swiss binding (black thread stitching). Printed in Germany. Available at benjaminpfau.com/isthmus-book Photos by Matias Quintana.

Antártico Ártico an exhibition that presents the contemporary drawing vs drawing of the future. In constant threat to fall apart, drawing as a definition turns against its known forms. It takes other new ones and today it can be everything. But really, what is it? Does it matter? The subjective and individual point of view, happily, has expanded the categories by how we understand things. The practices of artists, in many cases, have become unclassifiable.

Her project consists on a performative installation that digs into the ghosts and imprints from the past, to detect, deconstruct and transcend the stereotypes built from a hostage-like feeling of the female being manipulated in a society where male interests prevail. Her practice includes costume design and installation work, in addition to video, graphics, and sound design, working in collaboration with friends from Europe and South America.

Arqueologías del Futuro is an International Festival of Contemporary Dance, Performance and Knowledge. The curatorship of this fourth edition begins with the concept of disobedient bodies, to open up in multiple directions: the importance of feminine identities and their affective-creative networks as world proposals; the lack of cultural public politics for the care of our spaces, which defines the discourses of our creations based on the precarious conditions of production. Website design for Matías Duville, visual artist from Mar del Plata. He works with objects, videos and installations, although his production has mainly grown out of drawing. His works evoke scenes of desolation with rarified, timeless atmospheres like those that precede a natural disaster: hurricanes, tsunamis or situations of abandonment in the forest that act as a dreamlike vision of a wandering explorer, like a mental landscape. http://www.matiasduville.com/
